We are all beautiful geodes

Yesterday, a guy in my class, handed me a rock and told me that he wanted me to have it. I took the rock and thanked him for it. As he was walking away, I looked at the small, red, seemingly insignificant, nothing special, unimportant rock. It was just an ordinary rock that no one would hardly notice. If you saw it on the ground, you would most likely kick it aside or step over it. It's not a rock that anyone would care about. It's just a small, plain, nothing-extraordinary about it, rock.
Class was about to start, so I put the rock in my pocket. I completely forgot about it until later that night. I pulled out the rock from my pocket. Then I flipped it over in my hand, and to my surprise, I saw something amazing!!!! The other side of the rock is a geode. It has white crystals and small colorful circles. When it catches the light, it sparkles and shines. It is really beautiful!!!

As I was looking at it, I began thinking that all of us are like this rock. We all have moments were we feel like we are small, insignificant, nothing special and unimportant. We all have moments where we feel like we go unnoticed or are being kicked around or stepped over. We all have moments where we feel like we are plain and nothing-extraordinary. We all know what it's like to feel like no one cares. We all know what it feels like to be "just a small rock". That's what the world would have us believe. But if we look at who we TRULY are, we would see that we are geodes. We are amazing. We are colorful. We ALL have light inside of us that shines. And we would see that we are truly beautiful. We need to believe and KNOW that we are not "just rocks". We are ALL amazing, special, beautiful geodes.     (if you look, you can see that the rock has a smiley face on it) :)

I will update this blog with things I discover along the way; inspirational quotes; things that make me happy, laugh and smile; etc. There will also be random everyday things on here too. I will try to keep the posts uplifting and happy as much as I can, but there may be posts about "bad" things too, after all, we all have "bad" moments.
